I recently sent the next version of Avoid Trains Full of Pirates and Clowns to the editor. Going on the train ride really helped. Rember our train ride post? There were several scenes that I was able to give more detail because I had direct experience.
For instance, one change that we made was the timing of the train. In the first version of the Avoid Trains, Ax get off the train being chased by a pirate and a clown. He loses them in the train station based on precise timing. Although metro trains like I rode in Philadelphia are pretty exact in timing, the Amtrak trains don’t do as well on the schedule. I adjusted Ax getting off and on the train to look more like our expereince riding the train.
So, will Ax lose his pursuers in the train station? You are going to have to wait until the book is released to find out.
